Sandra Montie, PA-C, DSDPA
After obtaining her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University in 2004, she worked with nationally renowned Mohs surgeons and dermatologists Drs. Roger Ceilley and Andrew Bean. She published several articles with Dr. Ceilley and was active in the local Dermatology Midlevel’s Association. After two and a half years there, she moved to Florida. She worked at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach in the dermatology department and enjoyed serving our country’s veterans. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, Sandra founded the Child Life Therapy program at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa where she worked with sick and critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Units for seven years. During her time at the hospital she was encouraged by the physicians she worked with to pursue a higher degree and to become a health care provider herself. She applied and was accepted to Des Moines University. Sandra received a national scholarship from the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants for outstanding students interested in pursuing a specialization in dermatology.
Sandra works part time and spends the rest of her time with her family, friends, and pursuing her hobbies. She resides in Stuart with her husband and daughter.
