Sharon Barrineau, ARNP, DCNP
In 2007, Sharon earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner. Sharon earned her RN degree in 1995 from Indian River Community College. She began her career at Water’s Edge Dermatology in 1998.
Sharon's love and interest in dermatology grew and her desire to do more prompted her to return to school. In 2005, she earned her BSN degree from Florida Atlantic University with Summa Cum Laude Honors. Sharon serves on the Medical Assisting Advisory Board for Indian River Community College. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, and The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Sharon’s 10 years in dermatology working with knowledgeable Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners have been invaluable and a great asset to her in her practice.
Sharon has a love for surgery and assists Dr. Schiff with Mohs Surgery. She also performs surgery for the removal of skin cancers and benign lesions. Sharon also performs sclerotherapy, botox injections and intradermal fillers. Sharon loves the rural country lifestyle and sees patients in Okeechobee and Clewiston. Sharon lives in Okeechobee with her husband Donald, they have 3 children Jeff, Derek and Chelsea and 1 granddaughter Taylor.
Sharon takes a special pride in working for Waters Edge Dermatology as she was instrumental in helping build this practice as Dr. Schiff’s first employee of the practice.
