Shawn is a Board Certified Permanent Makeup Specialist credentialed through the American Academy of Micropigmentation. Shawn is also a certified Cosmetic Aesthetic consultant and a licensed aesthetician. Shawn graduated from Florida State University with a major in Fashion Merchandising. 

Shawn became interested in skin care after suffering from cystic acne herself as a teenager.  Under the care of a well-known Dermatologist in the Orlando area, she found that healthy skin and self-esteem are sometimes synonymous.  Intrigued and inspired by her own experience in the skin care world, she went on to pursue a career in skin care.
 
Shawn has worked since 1997 for a medical office as the Director of Aesthetic Services where she provided services such as: camouflage makeup, permanent makeup, airbrush makeup, airbrush tanning, glycolic peels, microdermabrasion, IPL treatments, external ultrasound, facials, waxing, eyelash extensions, and personalized skin care regimens.  

Shawn, who joined Water’s Edge Dermatology in February, 2008, is providing permanent makeup services and cosmetic consults regarding Botox, fillers and skin care.  Her goal is to educate the patient so that they can become their own best skin care expert.
