Glena Maggart, ARNP
She earned her bachelors degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University with Magna Cum Laude honors and then continued her education at FAU earning her master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner. Glena has always had an interest in skin and skin diseases, but her passion for dermatology was realized fully while in school when Dr. Schiff gave her the opportunity to rotate at Water’s Edge Dermatology.
Glena loves the diversity that dermatology has to offer – from general dermatology to surgery and cosmetics to being able to care for patients from infants to geriatrics. She is impressed with the professionalism and compassion that all of the Water’s Edge providers, nurses, and staff members have for their patients and she is grateful to be a part of the Water’s Edge team.
Glena is a member of the American Nurses Association, Dermatology Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Society of Dermatology Physicians Assistants, and the Florida Dermatology Physicians Assistants.
Along with Dr. Dwayne Montie, Glena is leading the Water’s Edge Dermatology team of skin care professionals in Water’s Edge new office in Sebring, FL. There, she takes great pride in providing general medical skin care services and surgery along with assisting Dr. Montie in Mohs micrographic surgery.
Glena and her husband, Jerry, enjoy fishing in kingfish tournaments together.
