Justin Platzer, M.D.
Following undergraduate training, Dr. Platzer attended Tulane Medical School where he graduated with a Medical Degree and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He subsequently performed his internship and graduated from the Tulane University Dermatology program. He received the Peterkin Award from the Louisiana Dermatology Society for the best research project during his senior year of training at Tulane.
Also as a resident of the University of Texas at Houston dermatology program, Dr. Platzer trained at one of the top cancer centers in the world, MD Anderson, and worked with some of the top medical dermatologists including Dr. Ronald Rapini, Erin Boh M.D., PhD, Elizabeth McBurney M.D., Madeline Duvic M.D., Sharon Hymes M.D., Steven Tyring M.D. PhD., and Robert Jordon M.D.
Dr. Platzer has trained under some of the top cosmetic dermatologists in New Orleans as well as the United States including Mary Lupo M.D, Bill Coleman M.D., Richard Sherman M.D., and Patricia Farris M.D.
Dr. Platzer received a grant from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and was able to perform a preceptorship with Dr. Lisa Donofrio.
He was chief of the Tulane Cosmetic Clinic.
Dr. Platzer treats patients with medical, surgical and cosmetic skin problems. He treats acne, rashes, psoriasis, fungi, warts and skin cancers.
He also performs injections of Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse, Evolence, Dysport and Botox,
