As your skin loses hyaluronic acid, the natural fat that surrounds your cheeks begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, decreased volume, and more prominent wrinkles.
Restylane® Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is designed to add volume and restore contour to your cheeks, accentuate cheekbones, and smooth wrinkles and lines for a more natural-looking appearance.
What is Restylane Lyft and how does it work?
Restylane Lyft contains larger hyaluronic acid particles than Restylane, allowing it to address severe wrinkles and loss of volume. As such, Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA-approved filler that treats two areas of the face:
- Precisely corrects and smooths moderate-to-severe lines, folds, and wrinkles on the side of the nose and mouth
- Provides a subtle, natural-looking lift to visibly sagging cheeks
What can I expect from treatment?
You and your Water’s Edge Dermatology practitioner will first discuss your aesthetic goals and treatment expectations. Using an ultra-fine needle, your provider will inject Restylane Lyft below the skin into the treatment areas. The injection also contains lidocaine to reduce any discomfort you may feel. The procedure only takes 10-20 minutes and requires little to no downtime, so you can go about your day as soon as you leave our office.
When will I see results and for how long will they last?
Results are immediately visible, and most patients see lasting results for up to 12 months in the cheeks and six months in facial wrinkles and folds with Restylane Lyft.
