Water’s Edge Dermatology participates in most major insurance plans, but the list of insurance we accept can change. First, please contact your insurance company to confirm coverage and then ask the front office at the location you visit for help if you need it.

For most people, an annual visit that includes a full-body skin cancer screening is recommended. You should also stay up-to-date on skin cancer patient education to understand your risks. If you are receiving treatments for skin, hair or nail conditions, or aesthetic treatments, your dermatologist or other medical provider will recommend the best timing for your appointments.

Yes, you can fill out your forms before your appointment by using the Patient Portal. Read our thorough Patient Portal instructions to get started.

You can also fill out forms in the office on the day of your appointment, but please arrive 15-20 minutes early to do so.

For most dermatology appointments, it’s best to arrive with as few products on your skin as possible. Avoid wearing makeup, nail polish and tanning products. For specific procedures, your provider should address which of your usual skin treatments or medications you should use. When in doubt, please ask and we’ll be happy to help you.

Always bring an up-to-date insurance card and a list of current medications and relevant medical history.
