About Dr. Alexander
Danica Alexander, DO, FAAD, FAOCD, is a board-certified dermatologist who practices all aspects of dermatology including medical, surgical and cosmetic. She completed a six-year dual dermatology and family medicine program, during which time she served as chief of dermatology and chief of family medicine in South Florida. She also worked as a registered dietitian at a VA (Veterans Affairs) hospital in California.
Dr. Alexander treats all skin conditions including complex autoimmune connective tissue disease, blistering diseases, psoriasis, eczema, skin cancers, hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa and acne. She also performs cosmetic and anti-aging treatments. She has volunteered at American Academy of Dermatology Camp Discovery, a camp for children with chronic skin conditions.
Dr. Alexander resides in Windermere, Fla., with her son. She enjoys teaching, traveling, hiking, yoga, skiing and learning Spanish.
