About Dr. Rogers
Dr. Gary S. Rogers is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon who brings more than three decades of expertise in skin cancer diagnosis, treatment, and advanced reconstructive surgery to Water’s Edge Dermatology.
His clinical practice focuses on the comprehensive management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, utilizing both surgical and non-surgical approaches to deliver the highest standard of care.
Dr. Rogers has been a respected leader in dermatology throughout his career. He previously served on the board of directors for both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery, helping shape national clinical standards and education. Over the past 35 years, he has trained more than 20 dermatologists and plastic surgeons through a nationally recognized, board-certified Mohs and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship Program, and has taught and mentored more than 90 dermatology residents.
Before joining Water’s Edge Dermatology, Dr. Rogers served as chief of dermatology at Beverly Hospital within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system in Boston, Mass., and he continues to serve as a research professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has led numerous clinical trials aimed at advancing the treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, Dr. Rogers is committed to ensuring that each patient receives expert guidance and evidence-based treatment tailored to their individual needs.
Dr. Rogers and his wife recently relocated from Massachusetts to Ocala, where they enjoy life on a small farm with their six horses, three rescued greyhounds, and one rescued mule. They are delighted to call Ocala home and enjoy being active members of the community.
