About Sharon Barrineau

Sharon Barrineau, APRN, DCNP, is a certified advanced practice registered nurse and a dermatology-certified nurse practitioner. She has been in nursing since 1995, when she earned a registered nurse degree from Indian River Community College. She began her career at Water’s Edge Dermatology in 1998. As her interest in dermatology grew, she decided to return to nursing school. In 2005, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University, graduating summa cum laude. Two years later, she earned a master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner. She serves on the Medical Assisting Advisory Board for Indian River Community College. 

She has a love for surgery and assists Dr. Schiff with Mohs surgery. She takes pride in working for Water’s Edge Dermatology. As the company’s first employee, Sharon was instrumental in helping Dr. Schiff build the practice. She lives in Okeechobee with her husband and has two sons and two grandchildren.
