Restylane Silk is injected into the skin of the lips or around the mouth to add volume beneath the tissue for a smoother, more defined look. Before treatment starts, a topical anesthetic can be applied to desensitize the surface of the skin if desired. Injections of Restylane Silk are then performed with an ultra-fine needle according to the pre-determined treatment plan.
The Restylane Silk gel contains lidocaine, which can mitigate potential discomfort when Restylane Silk enters the skin. Once Restylane Silk has been injected, the hyaluronic acid molecules can attract and bind with water to enhance and maintain its volume, and create a natural plumping effect.
