What is Juvéderm® Ultra XC and how does it work?

Like other Juvéderm® products, Ultra XC is a hyaluronic acid gel. When injected into the lips, Juvéderm® Ultra plumps up your lips to restore shape and create the fuller appearance you desire. 

What can I expect from treatment?

After discussing your aesthetic goals with your Water’s Edge Dermatology practitioner, the doctor administers the injections just beneath the surface of the lips. Juvéderm® Ultra XC also contains a small amount of local anesthetic (lidocaine) to reduce discomfort. The procedure is over within minutes and you can get back to your day with no downtime.

When will I see results and how long will they last?

The majority of our patients report improvement in the softness, smoothness and natural look and feel of their lips three months after treatment, with results lasting up to one year.
