If you suffer from leg pain, swelling, spider veins, varicose veins, venous reflux, or any vein issue, you count on receiving the right diagnosis and treatment from your doctor. No case is beyond our expertise. Our team provides comprehensive vein services held to the highest medical standards combined with compassionate care and state-of-the-art medical technology.
The Vein Center is fortunate to have world-renowned venous specialist, Ronald Bush, MD, FACS, on our team. In fact, Dr. Bush and Peggy Bush, ARNP, have just published A Guide to Treating Face Veins, the first book dedicated solely to the treatment of facial veins.
The book includes step-by-step treatment plans as well as the avoidance of potential complications. The authors share that the majority of larger blue (reticular) veins of the face are resistant to laser applications, and surgical approaches leave bruises for weeks and are unsuccessful in many patients. They discuss safe and effective methods of treating facial veins, based on the vascular and communicating venous network of the face. The authors report that sclerotherapy, in the foamed state, is the most effective treatment of these larger veins, and minimal sequalae occur after treatment. By controlling the flow and direction of the injected foam sclerosant, these veins can be treated very safely. In most patients, only one treatment is necessary.
With details from the authors’ vast experience in this little understood field of venous treatment, this book is essential reading for any practitioner considering treatment of even the smallest veins of the face. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive:
“This concise book should be studied by anyone who treats or desires to treat veins of the face” — Dr. Stephen Daugherty, Veincare Centers of Tennessee.
“For any clinician considering treating veins of the face, this illustrated treatise is an excellent resource for the proper and safe treatment of facial veins.” – Dr. Joseph Raffeto, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.
A Guide to Treating Face Veins is available from Amazon.com. The Vein Center’s Dr. Ronald Bush, Dr. Luke Maj, and Peggy Bush will be presenting at the upcoming Aesthetic Vein Conference on April 27 in West Palm Beach and sharing their vein treatment expertise with other vein practitioners.
