What is Restylane Silk and how does it work?

Restylane® Silk is the first FDA-approved treatment to specifically address lips and the lines around them. Thanks to smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those used in other Restylane® products, this injectable filler smooths wrinkles around your mouth and restores shape and symmetry to your lips for a better smile.

What can I expect from Restylane Silk treatment?

To determine proper placement of the injections, it’s important for your Water’s Edge Dermatology practitioner to understand your aesthetic goals. After a consultation, your provider injects Restylane® Silk just below the surface of the lips or skin above the lips. The injections only take a few minutes and since there is no downtime involved, you can resume your day immediately after the procedure.

When will I see results and how long will they last?

Most patients notice visible improvement in lip fullness within 14 days after treatment with Restylane® Silk, with results lasting for up to six months.
